Sport IS Culture

Sport is Culture. Everything wrong with the world can be seen in sports. Everything right with it is there too. Sport fixes. Sport destroys. Sport is trivial. Sport can mean everything. An outlet, an obsession; An identity, a mask. Nations, countries, states, cities, schools, families, friends, neighbors, foes: everything great and everything destructive about mankind can be found in the nature of sport. A quest for power, a need for teamwork; an exhibition of strength- physical, mental, emotional, psychological- an outlet for emotion. Dynasty, tyranny, democracy, money; the participant, the spectator; the hero, the scapegoat. To look at the culture of sport is to look into the nature of man. Everyday Billy and Stewie will bring you seemingly trivial opinions on the ongoings in the world of sports. What we really offer, however, are seemingly trivial insights into the nature of man. We are nobody. We are everybody. We make no sense. We make all the sense in the world. We are myopic. We are prophetic. We are Denver. We are Brooklyn. Bolggin' it Live and Direct- Sports Topics Talk like you ain't seen since the Third.

Sports is not culture, not fully; but great opening statement for a blog. Carry on, gentlemen.
